About the expert
I am a chartered marketer with 25 years’ marketing experience. I also write for many business and trade magazines and in the last 18 months have won five national awards for generating the highest reader responses to my press releases, adverts and advertorials.
In December 2008 I wrote my first book "Powerful Marketing On A Shoestring Budget For Small Businesses", after finding a gap in the market for a small business book that was neither academic nor superficial in its content. The book is now selling worldwide.
I am passionate about the benefits that marketing can bring to a small business and speak regularly to audiences of all sizes, sharing marketing tips and small business case studies. I am not looking to increase my client base, looking instead to carry the message in my book in the capacity of being a guest speaker at small business events.
I believe that with a little time, persistence, creativity and marketing know-how, a small business can get incredible results from their marketing - on a shoestring budget. Working with many small businesses over the years, I know this to be the case. I have recently filmed for the BBC as a marketing entrepreneur.
