What's your approach to collecting new contacts on social media like LinkedIn? Is quantity or quality more important?

In Social Media Quality is definitely more important than quantity – Quality contacts have an interest in your services and value proposition and want to engage with your organisation. LinkedIn is one of the best Social Media tools for qualifying and connecting your contacts. Low quality contacts will show no interest in your communication, give you a false sense of where you are and will eventually disengage.
