Quantity surveyors - Construction

Hi !!

I have a few questions about quantity surveyors.

We are new construction company - and we wanna go for public tenders but the hardest thing is to find a Quantity Surveyor.
They are very expensive and we cant afford them .... Whats is our best solution for that ?? I can't make estimate by my self because i don't have time for that, and i don't know all prices and can't do it in short therms.

Well the difference between the established firms and new firms is the organisational structure.

You are indicating you have no time, small amount of funds and not enough knowledge of the processes involved.

Did you carry out any research before setting up your business?
if so, how far did you go?

I suggest you talk to somebody in the trade and try and find somebody who works freelance. You do all the running around and let them do the figures, yes they will charge but it willpay off for you in the long run.

But please remember to succeed with public tenders, its not always the lowest price that wins, you have to build a bid which is effective and works.
