Relevant Risk works with individuals and businesses that plan, or are actively involved with events. We assist in ensuring that compliance and legislation that is directly relevant to events is known and understood, not only by employers but, importantly, by actively involved employees.

About the expert

Conferences, exhibitions, racing, roadshows, sampling, press launches, powerboat racing, hospitality, golf, and more - events have always been my career, including ten years as the owner of my own agency. Honda, BT, B&Q, Dell, SWRDA, Cow & Gate were a few of our clients. During that time, I sourced advice in relation to risk within event management and struggled to find the expertise I wanted. When I sold my business, I decided to source the answers myself and realised in time how many risks I was exposing my business to. I found that I paid for unnecessary training and had compliance gaps that no-one told me about. Rather surprisingly, my immediate clients were uninformed on some matters, too. Now after more than 20 years advising in a creative capacity, I am providing a different type of service but, thankfully, still within an industry that I love.
